Increasing the capacity of the Public Employment Service to plan projects and to deliver client centered counseling services 

INCREASING THE CAPACITY OF THE PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT SERVICE TO PLAN PROJECTS AND TO DELIVER CLIENT CENTERED COUNSELING SERVICES

Period of implementation: 01.07.2009 – 21.12.2010

The aim of the project: to increase the level of competence for employees of the Public Employment Service on developing individualized programs in the field of career counseling and on implementing development projects for PES and its beneficiaries.

The project’s objectives:

O 1: To develop knowledge and skills on client centered counseling and project management for 42 employees of PES from Oltenia Region, in the frame of an acredited training program for project managers and a competences development program for client centered counseling in order to initiate inovative actions for supporting new forms of organization and management of PES;

O2: To involve 42 employees of PES in developing a series of instruments for individual counseling and projects based on client centered counseling in the frame of a mentoring program and group activities;

O3: To develop a plan of actions for initiating a minimum of two development client centered projects for each of the three partners that offer counseling services in Oltenia Region and are involved in the project.

Activities:

– Developing materials for training and acrediting the training courses through CNFPA. ARCS developed training materials for project management and client centered counseling.

– Competences development course for 21 beneficiaries concerning comunication techniques, client centered counseling and personalized counseling.

– Training course CNFPA acredited on Project Management for 21 beneficiaries.
